StarSeek は何をしているか

StarSeek はチューナーであって、放送局ではありません。宇宙機関・天文台・打ち上げ事業者・科学館・語り手が自分で公開している公式チャンネルに、番号で合わせるための装置です。

映像は各運営者から、あなたのブラウザへ直接届きます。当サイトのサーバーは映像を中継も保存もしていません。ここにあるのは「どの局が何番か」という対応表と、元からこのサイトにある読みもの、そして情報源の棚だけです。

何を載せて、何を載せないか

基準はひとつです。そのチャンネルを、一次の権利者が自分で運営しているか。

合法な転載でも載せない

この判断がいちばん誤解されるところです。たとえば NASA の映像は米国政府の著作物として原則パブリックドメインで、転載すること自体は合法です。それでも StarSeek は転載チャンネルを載せません。基準は「再配布してよいか」ではなく「一次の権利者が運営しているか」だからです。

音楽が主目的の面を作らない

音楽が主目的のチャンネルは構造的に載せていません。加えて、清潔なチャンネルが上げた個々の音楽動画（番組音楽・テーマソング・ミュージックビデオ）は、再生時に題名を見て飛ばします。飛ばした本数が続いたときは、再生せずに公式チャンネルへの案内を出します。

疑似科学を断定する局を載せない

未確認飛行物体を「あった」と断定する動画、地球平面説、古代文明が宇宙人に作られたとする説、天体衝突の煽り。いずれも局としては載せていません。ただし、現象そのものが研究対象であることは否定しません（NASA には未確認異常現象の独立研究チームがあり、報告書が公開されています）。

国や政府が運営する宇宙機関は載せる

各国の宇宙機関は、国が運営しているという理由では外しません。宇宙機関はその国の一次情報そのものだからです。外しているのは、宇宙機関の本体ではなく、報道・宣伝を主目的とする面だけです。

番号について

番号は「この船のどのデッキの、何番目の席か」を表します。デッキはジャンルではなく、来た理由で分けてあります。

番号は公開時に固定し、あとから振り直しません。局が無くなっても、その番号は空けたままにして、別の局に再利用しません。番号で覚えてもらうものが、あとで別のものに変わっては困るからです。

確認の方法と、その限界

いつ・どこから測ったか

チャンネルの実在と再生可否は、日本から、2026-09-01 に実際のプレーヤーを埋め込んで確かめました。埋め込みの可否・地域制限は観測地点によって変わります。ここで確かめられたのは日本からの見え方だけです。

「休止」は閉鎖ではない

最終投稿から日が経っている局には「休止」と書いています。これは閉鎖ではありません。運用を終えた観測装置、催しのときだけ配信する局など、組織側の事情で正当に止まっているものが含まれます。消さずに、日付を添えて残しています。

「配信中」を推測で出さない

「生中継」の表示は、いま実際にライブが再生されているときだけ点きます。「放送していない」ことを示す表示は作っていません。それを根拠づける手段が無いからです。

測れなかったものは載せていない、とは限らない

星図室の外部リンクは公開前に全件開いて確かめましたが、いくつかのサイトは自動アクセスを遮断していて、この経路からは本文を読めませんでした。読めなかったことは、そのサイトが無くなったことを意味しません。そう判定できなかった、と書いてあります。

名前が同じでも、同じ相手とは限らない

チャンネルは、名前が一致しても同一とは限りません。掲載しているものは、公式サイト側がそのチャンネルを指しているか（もっとも強い根拠）、あるいはチャンネル自身の記載で確認しています。どちらで確認したかは、番組表の各行に書いてあります。

広告について

このサイトには広告がありません。アフィリエイトも、成果報酬のリンクも置いていません。並べる順番も、掲載の可否も、広告の都合では動きません。

読みものについて

連載「星界奇譚 — 宇宙未解決事件簿」と、はじめての方へのガイドを置いています。すべて実在の天文学の話です。怪談のように始まりますが、解くのは科学で、最後にひとつだけ解けない残余が残ります。書庫からどうぞ。

What StarSeek does

StarSeek is a tuner, not a broadcaster. It is a way to reach, by number, the official channels that agencies, observatories, launch providers, museums and storytellers publish themselves.

Every stream travels from its operator straight to your browser. Our server neither relays nor stores video. What lives here is a table of which channel is which number, the writing this site has always had, and a shelf of sources.

What we include, and what we don’t

There is a single test: is the channel run by the primary rights holder?

Lawful re-uploads are still excluded

This is the part most often misread. NASA footage is generally in the public domain as a work of the US government, so re-uploading it is lawful. StarSeek still excludes re-upload channels. The test is not “may this be redistributed?” but “does the primary rights holder run it?”

No channel whose main purpose is music

Channels that exist mainly for music are structurally excluded. Beyond that, individual music uploads on otherwise clean channels — show scores, theme songs, music videos — are skipped at playback by reading the title. If enough are skipped in a row, we stop and point you to the official channel instead.

No channels that assert pseudoscience

Videos asserting that UFOs have been confirmed, flat-earth claims, ancient-astronaut theories, impact scaremongering — none of these are carried as channels. That is not a claim that the underlying phenomena are unworthy of study; NASA has an independent study team on unidentified anomalous phenomena and its report is public.

State-run space agencies are included

A national space agency is not excluded for being state-run — an agency is the primary source for its country. What is excluded is a face whose main purpose is news or promotion rather than the agency itself.

About the numbers

A number says which deck of this ship, and which seat on it. Decks are divided by the reason you came, not by genre.

Numbers are fixed at launch and never reassigned. If a channel goes away, its number stays empty rather than being given to another. A number you remember should not later mean something else.

How we checked, and where that stops

When and from where

Existence and playability were confirmed from Japan on 2026-09-01 by embedding the real player. Embeddability and regional restrictions vary by where you observe from. What we verified is the view from Japan.

“Dormant” does not mean closed

Channels whose last upload is old are marked dormant with the date. This is not closure. Retired instruments and channels that only stream during events are legitimately quiet. We keep them, with the date shown.

We never guess “live”

The live lamp comes on only while a live stream is actually playing. There is no “off air” indicator, because we have no way to justify one.

Unreadable is not the same as gone

Every external link in the chart room was opened before publishing, but some sites block automated access and could not be read from here. Being unreadable does not mean a site is gone — we say we could not tell.

The same name is not the same party

Matching names do not prove identity. Each listing was confirmed either because the operator’s own site points to the channel (the strongest evidence) or from the channel’s own statement. Which of the two applies is printed on every row of the channel guide.

Advertising

There is none. No affiliate links, no paid placements. Neither the ordering nor the inclusion of anything here moves for an advertiser.

The writing

The serial “Tales of the Star Realm — Unsolved Cases of the Cosmos” and guides for newcomers live in the library. All of it is real astronomy. It is written in Japanese only, and we do not put machine translations in its place.

Corrections and takedowns

We welcome corrections, reports of a mistaken channel, and takedown requests from rights holders. If a rights holder asks, we will verify and remove the listing promptly.
